"Had a great time at the contest yesterday!!!. I enjoyed every minute! Love the hotel! It was very close to the weigh-in and close to the school where the contest was held. Everyone was so nice! Made a lot of friends. Head Judge was GREAT! She made everyone feel comfortable. Thank you so much, Scott and John. I'm very proud to be a part of the 2012 NGA Alabama Natural Open!!"
"Hi, Scott! First off, I wanted to say thank you for promoting such a wonderful event! As you know, the 2012 NGA Alabama Open was my first competition. The experience is one I will never forget! All of the competitors/athletes were so friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed meeting you, Brock and Ms. Turtle. I honestly could not be happier with my decision to participate in this show as my first.. Thank you, again, for such an amazing day and I hope to return next year!"
"Mr. Hults, I just wanted to thank you for all of your help and support related to this past Saturday's NGA Alabama Open Bodybuilding Competition. I had a wonderful time and will never forget the experience."
"Hey Scott! Great show on Saturday...in every way! You ran a tight ship, the judges were great, the competitors were friendly. I have nothing but positive feedback for you. Scott, I will definitely make the Alabama Open a staple every year on my competition schedule...this was my 6th show and by far, the most enjoyable...and this has everything to do with you! Thanks. My wife is also planning to compete next year and I'll pass along the show information to anyone else interested..."

"Hi, Scott. Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you last night. Great show. I had a lot of fun. I would do another one. Met some great folks. Thanks so much for everything. You are awesome!"
"Scott. Great Show! Thanks for everything."
"Scott, thanks again for all your help! I had a great time at the show!"
"Scott, Thank you! I enjoyed the show. It was very well organized and well run. I really appreciate all you have done. If if wasn't for your motivation and push to get on stage I would have never competed."
Dear Scott and John:
I have to compliment you on the great job you all did with the show! It all went together very smooth and Scott, you were a "natural" at the podium with the mic! The quality of contestants were "top shelf" and your "helpers" all really cared and fully extended themselves.
As a contestant, I found all contest details were explicit and issued to us with time to spare. Also, it was so nice to have the School and the"Y" just a few minutes drive from our host hotel. Unfortunately I left my Marriott at 3 AM for my long ride back to Jacksonville Beach.
Thanks again guys, let's keep in touch.
Thanks again for a wonderful, well run show. We had a nice time and met some GREAT folks! I am considering the NGA in Nashville in November, but haven't committed. I appreciate all you have done for us and it's been wonderful getting to know you. Keep working with Casey - I would love to see her compete! Hopefully we can come back next year - and if I cannot compete because of my Master Pro status, maybe I can help you backstage!
Thanks again - Teresa (Steel)
Back from the NGA Alabama Open.
Was a nicely ran show, the competition was great. I came home with a 5th Place in the Masters over 50 Division.
Not what I wanted, but, "It is...what it is".
My friend Joel (Mr Kentucky!) looked great and won his class and his NGA Pro Card. Great Job.
Scott "Old Navy" and John ran a great show!
Time to eat, sleep, and get back to the drawing board! It's good to be home!
Thanks to everyone for their support!
I would like to thank you for encouraging me to compete in the show. I had a wonderful time and I learned alot. This show helped me to gain confidence in myself. Now, I am looking forward to working hard to enter another show maybe in the figure round this time.
Thanks again and I will see you at the Y
Tamra Barron (Tamra placed 2nd in the Fitness Model Class)
Your show was very professional and I was proud to be a part of it. I thought the judges were very helpful and freely gave good advice to me personally.
I learned so much about bodybuilding. I had a ball!!! I Loved being on stage! I have entered the September and November NGA contests! I took the judges whom I spoke with seriously.
Thanks for having such a great organized and smooth contest.
Hello (Old Navy) Scott!
I just want to thank you for such a wonderful show. I was honored to be a part of it.
I was wondering if there was a way I could get a replacement trophy for my fourth place win. My trophy got broke in my suit case and I would love to be able to display one that showed my accomplishment. Please let me know.
Again, thank you so much, and I look forward to next year's show!
God Bless, Fran (Monroe)
Thank you Scott.
I am honored to be in the same ranks with you and the other NGA pro's! Your show was the most fun I've had competing in years. I met a lot of nice people.
I might take you up on your offer to judge the NGA Alabama Natural Open next year. I used to be an AAU judge back in the day! In fact your show reminded me of the old AAU shows. I had not been asked to do all those poses since then!
I recommend your show to anyone looking for a top notch drug free competition!
Note: Joel won the Masters 40+ class, the Masters Overall and the Open Heavyweight class. He was awarded an NGA Pro Card and an NGA Masters Pro Card.
Scott and John:
I really enjoyed competing in your show! Despite the fact that I was the WHITEST guy there. Your show (and other competitors) definitely inspired me to compete again in the future. And I'll have a tan next time. Thanks again for the opportunity to compete in a great show!
Note: Cody, an outstanding young athlete, won the Teen class and the Novice Bodybuilding class.
It was nice to meet you... The show was very nicely run and very professional... Great awards, great venue and I loved the fact that you had a photographer and videographer and even a model agency... I had a great time and Birmingham is a beautiful city... It was cool to see Hoover High School... I saw the high school reality show "2-A-Days" on MTV and it was cool to be at the school... I enjoyed the audience and the crowd response... I felt a warm-welcome from the residents of Birmingham...
I had a great time at the show!!! Thanks for everything!!
I talked one of the competitors in the show and he really enjoyed it. My husband surprised me with a big 40th birthday party and had college girlfriends come in town, the whole 9 nine yards. Well, we had a big day celebrating and about 9:00 Saturday night we were all in jammies goofing off and it hit me! Oh my gosh, THE SHOW!! We were all gonna go. I was just sick that I spaced and didn't come. I heard the competition was great. I am so upset I wasn't there to see it. Let me know how you thought it all went. I am going on line to look at picture now.
I just would like to tell you I had a wonderful time last Saturday.
It was such an amazing experience. I love bodybuilders and love to see their hard work.
I am looking forward to seeing you in GA in September.
Again, thank you very much for your hospitality. See you soon!
Hey, Scott & John:
I just wanted to drop you a line and congratulate you on a great show. The show was run smoothly and with a lot of class. We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of it and look forward to many more. It seemed like everyone was pleased and had a great time. We want to do more for your competitors. Please stay in touch and keep us in mind for up coming shows. We're working on adding some new flavors to our protein line that will definitely turn heads in the future.
It's Tyrone from the competition this past weekend. Just wanted to personally tell you thanks for allowing me to participate in the show. I Had a lot of fun, please do keep me posted on any future events coming up.
Having been competitor, gym owner and trainer for the past 25 years I've competed in and attended a ton of bodybuilding shows. Most of these were nothing more than an event designed for the promoter to make a profit, with little to no attention focused on improving the sport or the athlete. To be honest, I'd just about had my fill of the whole mess.
This changed this weekend as your show went a long way in restoring my faith in bodybuilding. It was well run and the quality of athletes was comparable to any non-tested show I've seen.
From this point forward I will encourage my athletes to compete only in NGA shows (I've got three already that want to do your show next year).
Scott & John:
Thanks for the opportunity of allowing my three competitors to compete in the NGA Alabama Natural Open. The girls and I, Carmen, Mandy and Brittney were all pleased with the entire process - especially the Figure and Fitness Model Clinic on Friday. We had some confusion about the format and requirement differences between Figure and Fitness Model, however, the clinic resolved all questions.
I felt that the night show went very smoothly. The audience was entertained and the process went at a pace so that neither the contestants nor the audience felt any down time.
Individually, the girls were very excited. They felt rewarded for all of their hard work in the gym and at the dining table and each was proud of the trophy they brought back to Villa Rica.
Again - job well done!
Robert Bailey - Trainer, Villa Rica, GA
